4 Southwestern Illinois residents showed generous support for the protection of open space through the annual 2009 Open Space Conservation Benefit Auction. Over 70 people feasted on delicious food and drink, socialized with new and old friends, tapped their feet to good music, and contributed close to $5,500 to Southwestern Illinois Resource Conservation and Development. This year’s event included a competitive silent auction, raffle, live music by Celtica, and an informative presentation on The American Bottom by Bill Iseminger. Thanks to all who made this event such a success and we hope to see you at our upcoming trivia night in January!
