The Southwestern Illinois Resource Conservation & Development provides administrative and technical support to a number of localized and regional partnerships over the past year, including the Middle Mississippi River Partnership, the Kaskaskia Watershed Association, three IDNR C2000 Ecosystem Partnerships, the Gateway Cooperative Weed Management Area, the Confluence Greenway, and the Metro East Greenway Alliance. Reductions in overall state and federal budgets dictated the need to develop and support partnerships capable of identifying, funding and implementing projects within the region.
