Taking Back Our Natural Areas - Identifying and Controlling Invasives in Southwestern Illinois: Over 47,000 copies of this brochure have been developed to assist landowners in identifying and address invasive plant species within the region.

Southwestern Illinois Landowners Guide to Stream Protection & Preservation: Staff developed this document to assist landowners, most of who live near a 1st or 2nd order stream to better understand their impact on water quality, as well as steps that they can take to address streambank issues.

East St. Louis “Biosolid” Lead Remediation Project: Addressing lead contamination in the landscape within inner cities is an extremely difficult and costly task. In 2001, Southwestern Illinois Resource Conservation & Development was asked to develop a demonstrative project that would tread lead contamination on site within an East St. Louis community; the site of a former lead smelter.
